{"id":2605,"date":"2019-05-28T18:28:47","date_gmt":"2019-05-28T18:28:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo1.kolsonwebsites.com\/?p=2605"},"modified":"2019-05-28T18:28:47","modified_gmt":"2019-05-28T18:28:47","slug":"may-2019-bldg-grds-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo1.kolsonwebsites.com\/index.php\/2019\/05\/28\/may-2019-bldg-grds-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"May 2019 Bldg &#038; Grds minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you B&amp;G team for another great year &#8211; you are truly appreciated at Lord of the Lakes!<\/p>\n<p>BUILDING &amp; GROUNDS MINUTES,\u00a0MAY 12, 2019<\/p>\n<p>PRESENT:\u00a0 Neil Bjornstad, Tom Zillges, Betts Nikolai, Warren Winter, Dennis Cartwright<\/p>\n<p>The meeting for this month was held between services sue to conflicts in scheduling.<\/p>\n<p>SPRING CLEANING is scheduled for May 19 from 11 \u2013 1 or 2.\u00a0 There will be a light lunch first with Betts picking up lunch meat, bread, pickles, and chips.\u00a0 Jan will make a dessert. \u00a0There is a signup sheet on the kiosk with 14 people on it.<\/p>\n<p>INSIDE TASKS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wipe down window sills and ledges<\/li>\n<li>Wipe down baseboards<\/li>\n<li>Wipe down tables and Chairs<\/li>\n<li>Wipe down counter and front of Breakfast Bar<\/li>\n<li>Clean (sweep and mop) back hall and stairs down to basement<\/li>\n<li>Reorganize and sweep basement<\/li>\n<li>Clean windows (include those in doors)<\/li>\n<li>Wash and Wax Sanctuary floor \u2013 ask participants at 2<sup>nd<\/sup> service to help move chairs off tile floor prior to leaving<\/li>\n<li>Wipe down kitchen cupboards. Upper and lower as well as under upper units; spot wipe walls as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OUTSIDE TASKS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check to see if bird nests are an issue and get down*<\/li>\n<li>Pick up garbage and debris around grounds<\/li>\n<li>Blow leaves out of bushes and from around landscape and building<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SUMMER PROJECT:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Power Wash Building \u2013 estimated to take about \u00bd day if have 2 teams<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with that \u2013 clean gutters<\/li>\n<li>Check roof exhauster valves and oil as needed (Jon should be present for that)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grass has been seeded<\/strong> around patio and is starting to come<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green Boyz, Inc<\/strong>. has been contacted and will do Weed and Feed this Spring \u2013 cost $475.\u00a0 Suggest we also repeat in Fall but will evaluate at that time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parking Lot upgrade<\/strong>: Arranged for early summer; had quoted $9,000 but d\/t severe winter and many more cracks occurring, likely could cost approximately $2000 more.\u00a0 Council has approved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sprinkler System Update<\/strong>:\u00a0 Jon and Neil still looking at feasibility of Jon doing some of it but need to be sure we have appropriate insurance coverage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>24 Ft Ladder<\/strong>: has been purchased from Lowes by Dennis with exempt status discount as well his Veteran discount<\/p>\n<p><strong>Still To Be Done<\/strong>:\u00a0 back door replacement and painting hall on east wing<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maintenance Man<\/strong>:\u00a0 to date, Jon is working out very well, is up to-date on worksheets, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communication thru summer<\/strong>:\u00a0 Please be sure to keep everyone in the loop via email.\u00a0 Roster with updated contact info distributed as well as attached with this mailing.\u00a0 Will meet only as needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Meeting<\/strong>:\u00a0 September 10 at 6:30.\u00a0\u00a0Submitted by Jan Olson, Recorder<\/p>\n<p><u>Addendum:<\/u>\u00a0 Spring Cleaning event was very well attended \u2013 had 20 adults and about 10 young people who helped.\u00a0 All tasks were accomplished by 1 pm.\u00a0 Only thing not done, was birds nest at entrance so that will need to be done at later date when eggs have been hatched* and Jon or someone has a tall ladder out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you B&amp;G team for another great year &#8211; you are truly appreciated at Lord of the Lakes!
