Grounds Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BUILDING &amp; GROUNDS \u2013 December 11, 2018<\/p>\n<p>MINUTES<\/p>\n<p>PRESENT:\u00a0 Neil Bjornstad, Tim White, Dennis Cartwright, Lou Zwicky, Warren Winter, Tom Zillges, Jan Olson<\/p>\n<p>Neil opened meeting with <strong>UPDATE OF MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE <\/strong>with following changes:<\/p>\n<p>Backflow Preventer Test:\u00a0 Per Warren, done late last year \u2013 will put it in March 2019<\/p>\n<p>Quarterly Fire System Test:\u00a0 was done on Dec. 4, 2018<\/p>\n<p>Floor Waxing of Sanctuary:\u00a0 will move to summer, 2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>OPEN ISSUES FROM NOVEMBER:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emergency Lighting\/Battery status &amp; install<\/strong>:\u00a0 Turns out best price\/quantity is ordering thru Amazon.\u00a0 Tim has done this and awaiting arrival; will then install.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Water softener salt re-supply<\/strong>:\u00a0 Thank you Betts for creating a chart to track usage, which is now down with the supply.\u00a0 It is thought we go thru approximately 2 bags\/month.\u00a0 The group set the re-order trigger at an inventory of 6 bags.\u00a0 Orders come from Larsen Coop.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Painting Hallways<\/strong>:\u00a0 Ray Zegers still planning on doing, is procuring paint; no date set.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electrical Compliance Issues<\/strong>:\u00a0 Daryl continues to work on it; exhaust fan in kitchen now working.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>East Door Repair\/Replacement<\/strong>:\u00a0 All quotes reuse present exit closure and door knob:<\/p>\n<p>Luecks:\u00a0 $3800<\/p>\n<p>LaForce:\u00a0 $3198<\/p>\n<p>Block Iron:\u00a0 $1252 (does not include labor costs)<\/p>\n<p>Albright:\u00a0 $3,480 (would reuse present door which needs repainting; if adding new door would be $4000)<\/p>\n<p>Tim will ask Block Iron for a quote on labor as well as check the possibility of reusing our present door with LaForce and see what their cost is then. \u00a0Recommend lowest quote which will likely be LaForce. \u00a0If unable to accomplish further research in the next week when Council meets, they can present to Council at January mtg.\u00a0 This needs Council approval as it is over $500.<\/p>\n<p>In a side note:\u00a0 while Albright was there doing the quote, they fixed the front inside door, without cost to Lord of the Lakes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>PROJECT UPDATE:\u00a0 <strong>Inside Message Board:<\/strong>\u00a0 Neil is continuing to FU on it.\u00a0 Looking at using computer that drives the HVAC System.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patio<\/strong>:\u00a0 Dennis presented options and cost of signage ($600 for a 12&#215;12) re: donation of cost, parties involved, etc.\u00a0 It could go on the side of the building.\u00a0 Suggestion made to have two benches built, one on each side and have the sign on the bench.\u00a0 Question was asked re: who donated materials and did the labor on the concrete \u2013 Bomanite of Wisconsin, owned by Matt Bastian, value of $2000.\u00a0 Decision to put on April agenda to discuss seeding and matting around patio, benches, and options on picnic tables.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>OTHER:\u00a0 The number of the person who took care of trapping muskrats at our lake is no longer in service.\u00a0 Tom will check with the person who traps at Zillges Co.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>NEW BUSINESS:\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Needs vs Wishes List<\/strong> by members present:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Needs<\/strong>:\u00a0 Parking Lot repaving as already planned<\/p>\n<p>24 Ft aluminum, 2 step extension ladder<\/p>\n<p>Tools:\u00a0 cordless set, drill, circular saw, light<\/p>\n<p>Scaffolding<\/p>\n<p>Annual Maintenance Agreement on all 6 furnaces to include 2 recently repaired Air Handlers<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wishes<\/strong>:\u00a0 Automated Towel Dispensers in both bathrooms<\/p>\n<p>HVAC Replacement Fund<\/p>\n<p>Investigate possibility of removing\/selling commercial dishwasher and installing a household dishwasher<\/p>\n<p>Sun covering over patio (Sun Sail, Umbrellas, Pergola, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>NEXT MEETING:\u00a0 January 8, 2019 at 6:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meeting closed at 7:50 pm.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Recorder, Jan Olson<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BUILDING &amp;
